This Month in WoW®: October 2017
The month of October has some spooktacular events that will have gnomes running their little legs off. From Hallow’s End to the Running of the Gnomes, you’ll want to take part in these sweet treats!
In-Game Events
Brewfest
[September 20–October 6]
First celebrated by the dwarves, Brewfest now holds appeal among all the races of Azeroth! Visit the Alliance camp outside Ironforge, or the Horde camp outside Orgrimmar, and join the party!
Harvest Festival
[September 29—October 6]
The Harvest Festival is a time to commemorate those who have sacrificed their lives to help friends and allies. Feasts are held outside Orgrimmar and Ironforge in honor of these fallen heroes.
Darkmoon Faire
[October 1—7]
Meet Silas Darkmoon and his troupe, play games that test mind and nerve, and behold exotic sights from the four corners of Azeroth and beyond!
Legion Dungeon Event
[October 4-11]
While this event is active, the final boss of each Legion dungeon awards an extra item when defeated.
PvP Brawl Southshore vs. Tarren Mill
[October 4–11]
Originally introduced as a part of the World of Warcraft 10-Year Anniversary event, this Brawl harkens back to the early days of WoW PvP, with an epic battle between the two towns of Tarren Mill and Southshore. In this game of war, you’ll need to work as a team and deplete your foes’ resources to claim victory.
Pet Battle Bonus Event
[October 11-18]
While this event is active, your pets will earn experience at triple the usual rate! Get out there and battle!
The Great Gnomeregan Run
[October 14]
Join the Gnomes as they celebrate their unrelenting moxie! Race across the Eastern Kingdoms, from Gnomeregan down to Booty Bay!
PvP Brawl: Packed House
[October 18–25]
We’ve put more PvP in your PvP! In Packed House, there’s nowhere to hide as you face not 2, not 3, not 5, but 15 adversaries in this 15 vs. 15 Arena battle.
Timewalking Dungeon Event: The Burning Crusade
[October 18–25]
While this event is active, players level 71 or higher may access a special Timewalking Dungeon Finder queue, which scales players and their itmes down to revisit past dungeons from The Burning Crusade expansion. While Timewalking, bosses will yield loot appropriate for a player’s regular level. During Burning Crusade Timewalking, you may assemble a raid group of between 10 and 30 players, travel to Shattrath City in Outland, and speak with Vormu to access a Timewalking version of the Black Temple raid.
Hallow’s End
[October 18–November 1]
Hallow’s End celebrates the break of the Forsaken from the Scourge. Fun and mischief reign as the Innkeepers of Azeroth give treats, and tricks, to whomever asks.
Arena Skirmish Bonus Event
[October 25–November 1st]
While this event is active, Arena Skirmishes will award Honor at an increased rate. Will you answer the call to battle?
PvP Brawl: Temple of Hotmogu
[November 1– 8]
Enter the Temple of Kotmogu for this fast-paced match. For a whole new twist, players will be able throw the Orb of Power to friendly players in a game of hot potato. Beware, they’ll also gain the debuffs along with the orb so choose wisely. We’re turning things up (to 11) by changing resurrection time to a quick 5 seconds. Who will be able to hold on to the power to claim victory?
World Quest Bonus Event
[November 1– 8]
While this event is active, completing Broken Isles World Quests awards bonus reputation with the appropriate faction.
