The Skyborne—also known as the shen’dorei, or hidden people—are a new playable race in World of Warcraft: Forever. Their journey begins on Zephras Isle, a level 1–12 starting experience that blends classic Warcraft aesthetics with elemental architecture and a story shaped by wind and ancestry. At character creation, you’ll choose whether your Skyborne joins the proud Horde or the noble Alliance.

In World of Warcraft: Forever, every character name is an opportunity to express yourself and establish your identity in Azeroth. With the addition of two names, players have more room to create something personal while keeping each full name unique within a region. That means you may still be able to use the same first name as another character, but your complete two-name combination is unique to you.
World of Warcraft: Forever is taking a new approach to where and how players begin their journey. Instead of choosing from a long list of realms, players will select a ruleset—Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, or Hardcore—that matches how they want to experience Azeroth. Each option operates as its own large ecosystem for grouping, dungeons, raids, and community, with Hardcore joining the available lineup sometime after launch.

When World of Warcraft: Forever launches GPUs based on certain older graphics architectures that fall well below the game's minimum hardware requirements will no longer be supported.
