Fantasy: Worlds of Myth and Magic Exhibit
If you’re in the Seattle area or plan to visit soon, you’ll want to head over to the new EMP Museum Exhibit, Fantasy: Worlds of Myth and Magic. Opening on Saturday, April 27, this exhibit focuses on the fantasy genre and how it has evolved and inspired since Tolkien first published The Hobbit in 1937. Among some of the most beloved artwork in fantasy, you’ll be able to check out artwork from Blizzard’s own World of Warcraft and Diablo III. This exhibit will also showcase pieces from iconic fantasy titles such as The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, and The Lord of the Rings.
While you’re there, be sure to pet a dragon designed by Seattle Opera, sit atop the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones, and revel in all of the incredible costumes and artifacts from fantasy settings past and present.
